Background & Experience
Hi, I’m Oribell!
I’m the founder of Laugh Aloud Speech Co. After many years living and working in London, my family made the move to Australia and chose to settle on the Sunshine Coast.
I’m originally from the United States, where I trained and began my career as a speech pathologist. Since then, I’ve supported children and families across the US, the UK, and now Australia. My experience working across different cultures, communities and languages has shaped how I support children and families in ways that feel practical, personalised and meaningful in everyday life.
I’m delighted to support children and families across Tewantin, Noosa, and the Sunshine Coast through Laugh Aloud Speech Co.
Speech therapy for babies, children, and adolescents is provided in person from consulting rooms at Tewantin Therapy Studio on the Sunshine Coast, as well as online (telehealth) for families across Australia.
Areas of Support
I provide paediatric speech therapy for a range of communication challenges, with particular expertise in early communication, language development, language disorders, executive functioning, and bilingual and multilingual development.
Areas of support include:
-
Early communication & language development
-
Language disorders & communication
-
Executive function support
-
Bilingual & multilingual language development
-
Spanish–English speech therapy
-
Social communication
-

Supporting Bilingual & Multilingual Families
Families raising children in one or multiple languages are warmly welcomed, including bilingual children and families raising children in two languages.
Therapy is available in both Spanish and English, with guidance and support for families raising children in multilingual households.
A Family-Centred Perspective
As a mother of three, I understand the hopes, questions, and worries that come with supporting a child’s communication.
Our family uses a one-parent-one-language approach at home, giving me lived experience with multilingual development and the realities of raising children with more than one language.
