Background & Experience

Hi, I’m Oribell, founder of Laugh Aloud Speech Co.


I trained and worked as a speech pathologist in the United States, and have since supported children and families in the United Kingdom and now Australia.

 

My experience working across different cultures and languages has shaped how I support children and families.

Speech therapy is provided in person from consulting rooms at Tewantin Therapy Studio on the Sunshine Coast, as well as online (telehealth) for families across Australia.

Areas of Clinical Focus

I provide paediatric speech therapy for children with a range of communication needs, with a focus on early communication, language development, and executive functioning.

​

Areas of support include:

  • Early communication and language development

  • Language disorders and speech sound difficulties

  • Executive functioning (attention, planning, organisation, flexible thinking)

  • Bilingual and multilingual language development

  • Spanish–English speech therapy

Families raising children in one or multiple languages are warmly welcomed.

 

Therapy is available in both Spanish and English, with guidance and support for families raising children in multilingual households.

Our family uses a one-parent-one-language approach at home, giving me lived experience with multilingual development and the realities of raising children with more than one language.
