Background & Experience

Laugh Aloud Speech Co. is a paediatric speech pathology service on the Sunshine Coast, providing speech, language and feeding therapy for children from birth to adolescence.

I trained and worked as a speech pathologist in the United States before supporting children and families in the United Kingdom and now Australia. Working across different cultures and languages has shaped my approach to paediatric speech therapy, grounded in evidence, curiosity, and a deep respect for the many ways children communicate and learn.

I am a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia.

In-person speech therapy is provided from consulting rooms at Tewantin Therapy Studio on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, with online speech therapy (telehealth) available to families across Australia.

Early intervention is a particular focus, supporting infants, toddlers, and preschoolers as they build strong foundations for communication and language, social communication, executive functioning, and feeding.

Areas of Clinical Focus

I provide paediatric speech therapy for children with a range of communication needs, with a focus on early communication and language development and executive functioning.

My clinical areas of focus include bilingual and multilingual language development, Spanish–English speech therapy support, and language disorders and speech sound difficulties.

Support is also provided for executive functioning differences such as attention, planning, organisation, and flexible thinking, alongside feeding challenges and social communication differences.

Supporting Bilingual & Multilingual Families

Families raising children in one or multiple languages are warmly welcomed. Therapy is available in both Spanish and English, with guidance and support for families raising children in multilingual households.

A Family-Centred Perspective

As a mother of three, I understand the hopes, questions, and worries that come with supporting a child’s communication. Our family uses the one-parent-one-language approach at home, giving me lived experience with multilingual development and the everyday realities of raising children with more than one language.

This perspective supports a family-centred approach, with practical strategies that fit naturally into everyday routines and help children build communication skills in real-life contexts.
